Event Details

The Technology Association of Georgia's Educational Collaborative would like to invite Georgia High School students to participate in Webchallenge2009, "Free Your Community!"

This is a high-school level contest, where students are asked to use free technologies and/or Open Source Software in order to improve their community in some way.  Students of all abilities are encouraged to participate to show their ideas and help their community!

Past Webchallenge contests have awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to the student winners, and 2009 will continue offering multiple prizes!

If you are a Georgia High School student, and would like to sign up a team:

  1. Get a faculty/teacher sponsor to agree to support your effort (not necessarily technically, just for communication and organization)
  2. Get up to 3 teammates.
  3. Register here as the Main Contact, and enter your teacher and teammate information too.
  4. Get creative!  Start making your product.  Be sure to read the rules and guidelines on the our website:  www.webchallenge2009.org

After registration closes, we will be emailing more details about dates, etc., for awards, ceremonies and other information.  The contest will conclude in mid-April, and winners will be recognized at a gathering in Atlanta soon after.

Thanks for participating, and good luck!
